Synchronicity
a women's a cappella quartet
based in Canberra, ACT, Australia

History

Synchronicity formed in July 2002. Bass Glenda Millgate and Tenor Diane Jenkins were inspired by the quartets that they had seen at a regional contest and decided to give it a whirl. They asked Lead Jennifer Lloyd to come on board and, after some looking around, convinced Tanya Kavanagh to move from Bass to Baritone and their foursome was complete.

Sadly, in February of the following year Diane was transferred to Sydney through work. The group continued to practice long distance until performance commitments were complete in August 2003, when Synchronicity became a threesome again.

Soon after they were joined by Rowena Jameson, who had been singing baritone in Brindabella Chorus at the time. Rowena made the great leap up to tenor and Synchronicity was again back to four.

In 2007, Rowena let us know that she was moving to Japan to teach English, a dream she'd had for some time. In our usual style, we invited George to join us - a baritone in the chorus at the time! George is doing a great job of learning to sing tenor, and we're very happy she's joined us.
